MacArthur JROTC Drill and Color Guard Teams tour the Oklahoma State Capitol and were recognized on the Oklahoma House of Representatives Floor as 3x, Consecutive Army Drill and Color Guard Teams State Champions.

2023 ARMY JROTC STATE DRILL AND COLOR GUARD TEAMS CHAMPIONS

June 20, 2023 - The culmination of their April 8, 2023, Oklahoma Overall Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines), Drill and Color Guard Teams State Championship as well as the Back-2-Back, 2022/2023, All Army Drill and Color Guard Teams State Championship, the Highlander Battalion receives their State Championship Rings.

​May 1, 2023, The Highlander Battalion was recognized on the Oklahoma State House Floor by Representatives (L-R) Trey Caldwell, Rande Worthen and Daniel Pae for the State Championship wins

April 8, 2023, the MacArthur Highlander Battalion travelled to Oklahoma City to compete in the OK Drill Teams State Championships against teams from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines from all across the state of Oklahoma. They are your 2023, OVERALL Military branches (Army, Navy Air Force, Marines), Drill and Color Guard Teams, State Champions and 2-Time, Overall Army JROTC State Champions. In the UnArmed category, the UnArmed Drill Team, commanded by cadet Lieutenant Colonel Gracie Kimbrell, won Overall-1st Place and Best in Army, 1st place in both Regulation and Exhibition Phases, and 2nd Place during the Inspection Phase. Selected over all other UnArmed Team cadet commanders, Cadet Gracie Kimbrell additionally received the Commander of Excellence Award for the second consecutive year. In the Armed category, the Armed Drill Team, commanded by cadet Command Sergeant Major John Kennedy, won Overall-1st Place and Best in Army, 1st place in the Exhibition Phase, and 2nd Place during the Inspection and Regulation Phases. Selected over all other Armed Team cadet commanders, Cadet John Kennedy, additionally received the Commander of Excellence Award. Also, the Armed Color Guard Team commanded by Cadet Major Kai Aguilar, won 2nd Place overall.
